Trudy Au

Lawyer

Trudy practices in all areas of criminal law, including domestic violence, robbery, and drug offences. She has been junior counsel on serious and complex cases including those involving murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder. She has appeared in both Provincial and Supreme courts in British Columbia, and practices all over the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

Before graduating from Bond University in Australia, Trudy completed her Bachelor of Arts at Simon Fraser University. While attending law school at Bond, Trudy completed in multiple moots, mentored younger students, as well as participated in human rights, domestic violence, and criminal law clinics.

Trudy articled to Gloria Ng and during her articling year also worked under the mentorship of lawyers Troy Anderson and Colleen Elden, giving her exposure to a wide variety of cases and styles of practice. After her call to the bar in 2020, Trudy continued to practice alongside Gloria in several capacities, including junioring her on conspiracy to commit murder and drug offences.

Other Interests

Outside of the practice of law, Trudy is an avid traveller and foodie. She lived in Australia for two years and traveled all along the Eastern Coast. She also loves learning new recipes and spending her spare time cooking and baking.
