Alice Vo
Co-Founder | Lawyer
Alice is one of the co-founders of Platform Litigation. She is a criminal defence lawyer and practices in all areas of criminal law. Alice’s litigation experience includes defending individuals in both jury and non-jury trials against allegations of a wide variety of offences including murder, drug offences, sexual assault, kidnapping, conspiracy and theft. She has been co-counsel on a number of serious and complex cases. As part of her practice, Alice regularly mounts Charter challenges and provides advice relating to complex constitutional law and Charter issues.
Alice was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She received her J.D. from Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. She participated in the Burns Moot, a criminal trial moot, and was awarded the prize of Best Overall Competitor. Prior to law school she completed a Bachelor of Arts at York University with a focus on Forensic Psychology, particularly wrongful convictions.
Alice was called to the bar in 2016.

Alice speaks Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt) and regularly assists clients whose primary language is Vietnamese.

Personal Interests
When she’s not in trial, Alice enjoys staying active and is always looking for a new adventure. Alice loves a good thrill: she has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, has gone skydiving, paragliding, and loves scuba diving, snowboarding and cliff jumping. She loves to spend her time traveling and discovering new and delicious cuisines. Alice also loves supporting the Raptors and catching as many games as she can.
